TORONTO ROCK AND TRAINERS CHOICE CONTINUE RELATIONSHIP
Trainers Choice Is an Official Partner of the Toronto Rock
Oakville, ON - The Toronto Rock Lacrosse Club is pleased to announce that it has once again chosen Trainers Choice, a leading supplier of orthopaedic braces and supports in Canada, as its official supplier of sports medicine products, as well as a preferred partner for its athletic therapy and rehabilitation program.
Toronto Rock Head Athletic Therapist Dave Murray appreciates the expertise of the Trainers Choice staff and the ongoing dialogue throughout the season when it comes to having one reliable source for advice and products.
“The guidance from the athletic therapy experts at Trainers Choice is exceptional,” explains Murray. “They are a reliable and trusted reference for our medical staff with the Toronto Rock. We utilize Trainers Choice braces and supports for our team.” Murray works with team physicians when surgery is required; designing and overseeing the treatment and rehabilitation of players once an injury has been assessed.
During the NLL season, the Toronto Rock players practice once a week with games on most weekends from January to May. Murray says that lacrosse, like hockey, is a fast-paced, high impact sport in which injuries can run the gamut from concussions to severe knee injuries and ankle sprains. Many of the athletes hold down full-time jobs, so when an injury occurs it not only keeps a player out of the line-up, but also has implications at home, school and at work.
"Trainers Choice is thrilled that the Rock will be relying on our expertise and premium brace products," says Rick Schaly, President of Trainers Choice. "We design each of our products based on the needs of top-level athletes, but they're available for people from every walk of life. Regardless of your sport or activity, when you're injured you want to recover as quickly and safely as possible to get back to life, work and sports. Trainers Choice products can help assist your recovery!"
As part of this agreement, Trainers Choice will be providing the team with Dr. Cool ice wraps. The innovative fabric wrap that enables those with life’s little bumps, bruises, aches and sprains to ice the injury conveniently, while still doing everyday activities including work.
Dr. Cool uses a patented chemical-free ‘Coolcore’ fabric that flash freezes in only 20 minutes and provides ice therapy for about 15 minutes and deeper tissue cooling for up to 50 minutes, without bothersome dripping as it thaws. It offers 360 degrees of cold compression versus traditional ice packs that cover only a limited area.
